With one-liners like this you too can pick up the ladies. This show doesn’t disappoint in its uncanny ability to deliver cringe worthy dialogue from our hero male lead scene by scene.
Speaking of Junichi, despite having a positive ending for him in this episode, he’s still not the character I can root for. These romance anime shows are pretty hard to enjoy if I think the male lead is not exactly likable or justified in getting the girl in the first place so to speak.
Junichi in this episode manages to spout out some pretty nonsensical lines, hold a garbage can for hours while looking at the girls’ swim team and what seems to be lovable and innocent, yet creepy at the same time, watch a girl sleep in the library.
Morishima herself on the other hand isn’t exactly girlfriend material. I don’t know about you but she either comes off as manipulative or that’s just her way of showing affection, either way she doesn’t appear trust worthy as of yet.
So I suppose the main problem with this show so far is that the supposed couple doesn’t seem right for each other. We have a seemingly ordinary yet coming off as desperate male high-schooler with what also seemingly appears to be a calculating girl. Absolutely perfect.
By the way, I like the girl with the curly hair so much more.
