Highschool of the Dead – 03
Odd we haven’t seen any other students roaming about in the school, but here they are, and as quickly as they make their appearance, a good portion manage to get themselves killed stupidly shortly afterward. No comment on the girl who suicides herself in the name of love. Cheesy stuff. The escape bus can only fit so many people, why not kill them off now than having them argue who gets to go on I suppose.
I am not a fan of Shido. Actually, I don’t think anyone could be a fan of Shido. I don’t see how this clown even got on the bus, was no one watching when he foot stomped a kid in the face and left him there to die? Now, I don’t expect him to carry the guy who also happened to get a sprained ankle at the worst opportune moment, but to smash his face in and have the zombies feed on him as some sort of distraction is sadistic.
On that note I am really happy the group got separated into two as I don’t think I can withstand next week’s episode if Shido happens to be in every scene spouting more of his nonsense. That and the new students happen to be dumb as rocks, clapping for Shido’s laughable speech. I fully expect Shido to die at some point, he seems to be one of those characters-you-love-to-hate the show simply adds so you can have the satisfaction of watching him get killed later. Well at least I hope he gets killed off at some point.
Rei in this episode becomes pretty bad-ass when she sets her mind to loathe the fact she’s on the same bus as Shido. Loved how she messed up the guy who was about to attack Takashi.
On a final note, Kohta and Takagi are going to make a great couple by the end of this all.
