Highschool of the Dead – 11

Banning Shido from the Takagi residence wasn’t something I had expected, but nonetheless a good alternative to having Rei blow his face off with that rifle, though I would have preferred that conclusion. I guess the bits of Shido humanizing helped me understand where his character was coming from, and so I can’t make ill wishes to someone with a crappy childhood growing up the way he is. With that, good-bye Mr. Shido and your orgy bus of fun, best wishes to you out there in that zombie infested hell.

Poor Takashi, so many chances yet it never comes through for him, though Saeko standing just outside listening in on the noises was rather funny. Eleven episodes in (how long is this series anyway?) and he’s still got three viable girls that like him, so all hope is not lost for our hero leader. I do find it odd the heaviest fanservice show hasn’t crossed that line yet.

With the decision to leave the mansion finally confirmed, Takashi has the hard job of leading everyone to find the whereabouts of their loved ones and hustling it back to the Takagi residence within two days. About time they leave this boring setting as we haven’t seen some gritty zombie slaying for two whole episodes. Not to mention the citizens they are protecting are getting stupider and crazier by the episode.

Though it’s pretty clear she’ll cry until the end of time, I have no idea why they are even taking Alice along, then again I have no idea why Rei didn’t blow Shido’s head off. This show just chooses to apply common sense during odd times.

They referenced these international range missiles some time ago and by the end of the episode some countries have given the go ahead to launch a couple of them. Having them land on our gang of zombie slayers wouldn’t be fun at all, so I’m interested where these things are destined.
